Description:

The primary function of the role will be to lead the Operation activities of SEA region in a close relation with the central teams and the region.
The role also has leadership accountability for the production, distribution and manufacturing facilities, and in defining/implementing the production strategy for EssilorLuxottica in this region, with a view to ensure customer satisfaction through optimal efficiency and effectiveness of plant location, operation and through the introduction of segmented commercial strategies.
This includes the business relation between commercial entities and all operations entities that support them, whatever they are under the region management or considered as a supplier. This position reports to the VP Operations APAC and functionally to the VP SEAK region.

The position is responsible to:

  • Provide leadership, guidance and support to the teams to ensure organization effectiveness with a view to deliver the lenses with the right cost, service and quality.
  • Lead, motivate, develop and train the teams to achieve performance KPIs
  • Coordinate the regional operations and their distributions.
  • Technically support, assist and guide operation entities with the help of the industrial lab structures and the central teams.
  • Develop, review and implement SOPs, KPIs and policies in line with the business objectives.
  • Ensure the introduction of new products or processes (anticipate equipment / process needs, set up necessary organizations) within your region.
  • Responsible of CAPEX (budget needs, ordering, implementing) within the region perimeter.
  • Drive local continuous improvement plans of work processes to increase efficiency and productivity within the region.
  • Support the launch and setup of new products and new flows, ensuring appropriate coordination and coherence (systems, databases, and equipment).
  • Support the set-up and implementation of the distribution flow model through our operation entities.
  • Lead supply chain strategy initiatives in order to drive efficiency in terms of result, productivity and cost.
  • Preparation of management reports on staffing, workflow and other key performance metrics and analyses reports to ensure operations are efficient and cost effective.
  • Identifies issues and recommends alternative courses of actions aligned with the central operations guidelines.
  • Lead regional operation and transformation projects linked to the region.
  • Support Partner companies in the limit of the business scope, bringing them guidance and solutions aligned with Group standard

  • Fill rate to end customers for Rx, Stock and non-lenses products (BSC)
  • Time to market and time to volume (BSC)
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Distribution costs
  • Lens inventory in value (BSC)
  • Non Lens Inventory (BSC)
  • Unhealthy Stock (BSC)
  • Back Order Recovery (BSC)
  • % Late Order by more than 2 days (BSC)

DIVISIONAL OR BU EXPERIENCE

Operated as project manager of one or more of the following BUs:

  • Manufacturing
  • Pharmaceutical
  • Medical devices

EXPERIENCE / TRACK RECORD

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in multinational companies and minimum 5 years in a management role.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large, complex projects at enterprise level
  • Strong working knowledge in Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, Supply Chain developed through extensive experience
  • Experience in leading Change Management and stakeholder readiness activities
  • Experience leading, engaging and motivating geographically and ethnically diverse teams

INDUSTRIES EXPERIENCE

One or more of the following:

  • Experience in Operations & Supply Chain
  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management
  • Experience working across the APAC region will be an advantage
  • More than 5 years of experience with people manager accountabilities
  • Proficiency and fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
  • Ability to communicate in a second language spoken in APAC region will be beneficial
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Hands on person
