Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Head of Operations, you will lead the operational backbone of our hospice. You’ll oversee Estates, Catering, and Housekeeping teams, ensuring the highest quality physical environments for patients, families, staff, and volunteers. Reporting to the COO, you’ll play a vital role in delivering strategic goals, managing infrastructure, and fostering innovation in sustainability and resource efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement estates and support service strategies aligned with St Luke’s vision and strategic priorities.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee maintenance, safety, and compliance of all St Luke’s premises, including capital and refurbishment projects.
- Team Management: Inspire and manage Estates, Catering, and Housekeeping teams, fostering professional growth and multi-skilling opportunities.
- Business Continuity & Risk Management: Lead the development of robust business continuity plans and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Budget Management: Monitor budgets for capital projects and operational areas, ensuring value for money and efficient resource use.
- Sustainability: Champion environmental initiatives to support St Luke’s sustainability goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with external providers, local communities, and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
