Description:
HEAD OF PEOPLE PARTNERING, PERMANENT, LONDON
Pay.UK is looking for a Head of People Partnering to steer our human resources operations and enhance our organisational effectiveness. You’ll work closely with the Director of People to ensure our processes and initiatives land effectively, build solid relationships with key stakeholders, and guide our people partners to support Directorates and management teams in their day-to-day leadership.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Directs the people partner and officer team, building and developing a professional and motivated team which adds value to the business
- Works with the People Director and senior leaders across the organisation to ensure people priorities are understood, supported, and aligned with the wider organisation strategy
- Provide operational, hands-on People Partner support (for allocated Directorate) as a valued member of the senior leadership team providing advice and guidance on people related matters, using people data to inform/drive action and performance
- Provide day to day oversight and guidance and escalation point for Company-wide ER casework, ensuring policy compliance and legal requirements met and promoting effective risk mitigation practices
- Oversee complex organisational design priorities across the organisation with the relevant People Partner, providing challenge, advice and support and ensuring OD solutions meet organisational needs
- Provide leadership for the design and delivery of positive employee relations trainings and communications to support the upskilling of people managers
- Responsible for all People policies under the Pay.UK Policy Framework, including new policy and revisions, in line with employment legislation, internal governance and compliance frameworks and approval processes
- Oversees the successful roll-out of policies and procedures, promoting the use of new processes, developing appropriate communication strategies to promote awareness, understanding and support for same
- Partner with Head of Talent/TA team to agree and co-ordinate operational HR delivery and support for resourcing, talent and succession strategies and initiatives to build capabilities across Pay.UK
- Manage stakeholder expectations and demands of the people partnering team, supporting the prioritisation of work to meet organisational goals
- Develops robust and effective relationships with senior leader and solicits regular feedback from Directorates to ensure continuous improvement of people partner offering and performance
- Act as a coach and trusted advisor to Pay.UK leaders and managers providing support, constructive challenge, and feedback as appropriate in line with Pay.UK values and behaviours
- Ensure a comprehensive and collaborative working partnership with the Finance team in delivering all operational people and budget activities for Directorates
- Supports and coaches the CPCO team in the achievement of professional standards and qualifications
- Support and deputise for the Director of People as required in presenting people updates at Executive & Board Committees
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Degree educated or equivalent
- CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience
- Significant experience in strategic HR business partnering role within complex organisations (regulated environment preferred)
- Experience of overseeing the full spectrum of People activities for multiple and complex functions
- An experienced people professional who has worked strategically with high levels of complexity
- Proven experience of developing and coordinating end to end people organisational change in complex environments (including organisational design)
- Experience in handling complex employee relations cases from end to end
- Extensive knowledge, understanding and application of employment law and HR best practice
- Background in guiding teams to excel through effective management and coaching strategies
