Our Wealth and Personal Banking business supports millions of individuals, families, business owners, investors and entrepreneurs worldwide. We provide products and services that include current accounts, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages, as well as savings, investments, insurance and wealth management. We also have specialised relationship managers who support customers with bespoke requirements, including high net worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.

This is a highly crucial role where you will have the opportunity to lead the Bank’s growth of the Premier proposition and expansion across our customer base with the key strategic focus being to double our customer base by 2028. The role will also lead the following teams:

  • A newly created team of face to face Premier Wealth Managers and Premier Relationship Directors.
  • Premier Specialist & International Team who support clients within specialist professions, complex lending and international needs.
  • Premier Financial Consultants who support managing existing remote client portfolios, together with onboarding of new Premier clients.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Drive a high-performance culture, providing steadfast support and visionary leadership as we look to establish ourselves as high net-worth market leaders, offering an unparalleled and a truly Premier service for our portfolio of clients.
  • Support a sustainable wealth growth strategy, focusing the team on maximising the depth and breadth of existing client relationships, as well as building new relationships, to ensure wealth needs are identified and referred to appropriate specialist.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including marketing, product teams, and senior management, to identify opportunities for growth and deliver exceptional client services.
  • Build, lead, and deliver a ‘best-in-class’ Premier team.
  • Effectively create and communicate strategy and plans with the team, providing clear direction as well as setting and ensuring that the teams have clearly defined roles, objectives, processes, and targets focused on delivery and efficiency.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive Retail Banking experience as well as working knowledge of other relevant business areas such as Transformation, Chief Operating Office, Marketing, Product Development, Private Banking & Wealth Management – essential
  • Large scale department leadership and line on line management experience – essential
  • A strong working understanding of regulated advice and procedures is essential.
  • Able to influence, engage with, and narrate strategic progress to a range of executive level stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to step back, take in the bigger picture, create momentum, and effectively communicate and execute clearly defined objectives and solutions.
