Description:

Are you looking for a next step to your professional career?
Do you enjoy solving complex problems? How about influencing and even transforming businesses to become more successful? Is working together with people from different cultures and backgrounds interesting to you? How about developing the function towards the industry’s benchmark in what they do?
If your answer is YES, you might be our new Head of Pricing. You will work in our Flow Control Business Line on a diverse set of topics related to pricing on all levels (strategic, tactical, operational). Together with our team of experts you will work with our Business Functions, Product Management and Market Areas to define and refine pricing models for spare parts, field services, replacement equipment and projects. You and the team will also lead the implementation and change management throughout the organization, collaborating especially with our Market Areas, who are responsible for transactional pricing. You will also have the opportunity to develop pricing-related analytics and tools, and our pricing performance management system. You are free to seek out the “latest & greatest” findings and practices in pricing, and as appropriate apply your findings to recommendations for our business.
In addition to managing the pricing processes, you are expected to personally drive some of the main development initiatives. So be prepared to “get your hands dirty”.

  • Proactively shape and direct pricing in the Flow Control Business Line through fact-based guidance and recommendations.
  • Regularly seek guidance, approval, and alignment from the executive team and Market Areas.
  • Manage and coach the pricing experts.
  • Define and continuously refine the pricing team’s 1-3 year vision and resulting plan, including prioritization of development initiatives.
  • Not only manage and lead but also personally drive some of the main development initiatives.

To succeed in this role

Master’s degree in Economics or Engineering, with excellent performance in numerical subjects.

  • At least 3-4 years of experience in strategy/management consulting or in pricing development.
  • Excellent people skills, including ability to adapt to different cultures and backgrounds.
  • Fluency and comfort with translating well-prepared analytics to clear recommendations for executive level audiences.
  • Natural curiosity, drive, determination and ability to learn fast.
  • Demonstrated influencing and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated success in leading change management projects to tangible results
  • Fluent in English, written and oral (fluency in Finnish language is not required)

Relevant experience in an international company and/or experience in pricing discipline related topics will be considered an advantage. The position is located at our office in Vantaa, Hakkila.
