We are moving to the next phase in our digital development and investing further in digital capabilities. We aim to empower the minerals & metals industry with digital-enabled value-creating solutions by engaging our customers, suppliers, and the entire Metso organization.
To support our ambition, we are seeking the Head of Process Simulation to join our digital organization.
In this position, you will report to the Vice President, Process Performance. The ideal candidate will be crucial in advancing our digital solutions portfolio throughout its lifecycle.
This position is preferably in Finland, but the location is flexible as the most crucial aspect is a perfect match for this position, and we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.
Team, you will lead
You will lead a team of process simulation experts dedicated to developing and improving new digital tools to solve our customers’ most advanced process challenges. The team resides within Minerals segment Digital organization. Process Simulation is responsible of developing and improving process models and procedures, the development of HSC Chemistry, Metso’s flowsheet simulation tool and new digital solutions and products for evaluating and developing sustainable technologies and process flowsheets.
We work closely with our end users, development teams, and internal stakeholders.
What you’ll do
Contribute to your team’s success and lead according to Metso values and leadership principles.
Business owner of various digital solutions, defining the business strategy and long-term vision of the products. Accountable for the profitable growth of digital solutions as well as the pricing.
Develop the customer base by working closely with Market Areas and interacting with customers.
Responsible for the Process Simulation development project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic targets and efficient allocation of resources.
Facilitate the creation, implementation, and delivery of innovative digital solutions.
Build and manage relationships with other teams and key stakeholders in a dynamic organizational environment.
Promote a proactive safety culture.
Who you are
You have expertise and experience in process simulation, preferably in the minerals & metals industry.
You have a M.Sc. education or higher.
You have experience in the development of process simulation tools like HSC Sim or other digital solutions.
You have experience related to business strategy and commercialization of digital & automation products and services.
You are an effective and diplomatic communicator who can convey messages effectively through verbal communication and presentations.
You have a solid executive presence and the ability to foster relationships and influence customers in the mining industry.
