Description:

Our client is a fast growing experiential marketing agency in Lagos that handles several multinational accounts having been recognized for excellent delivery and their capacity to provide lasting value, they are well positioned to dominate the experiential industry. Due to expansion, they are in need of a HEAD OF PROCUREMENT.
LOCATION: Ikeja, Lagos

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the company’s overall procurement operations and strategy in order to constantly meet company and client’s needs.
  • Monitor market trends and conditions to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved efficiency.
  • Lead the procurement planning process, including demand forecasting, sourcing strategies, and supplier selection.
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with vendors and other stakeholders to ensure mutually beneficial business dealings and ensure reliable supply chains.
  • Lead in strategic sourcing and ensure prompt delivery of all materials and services.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve optimal value.
  • Ensure that procurement activities are conducted in accordance with defined SOPs, organizational policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Oversee the procurement process, including requisitioning, purchasing, order tracking, and delivery coordination.
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring cost control and value.
  • Review and revise payment requests and other documents before submission for payment to finance.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payment to the suppliers.
  • Ensure procurement needs are supplied in line with specifications and implement procurement policies and procedures to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Develop new alternative sources/materials/vendors to mitigate procurement-related risks associated with sourcing for materials, services and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
