Description:

Stonegate Group are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Procurement, to oversee all Property and other indirect functions’ procurement. The successful candidate will lead strategies that drive efficiencies, improve the Group’s P&L performance, and ensure strong supplier partnerships and contract management.
As a leader, Head of Procurement will have a strong stakeholder map and work closely with key business units, including operations, property, commercial, and marketing, to ensure aligned and effective procurement strategy and practices across the organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring robust contracts and driving cost efficiencies while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities for the Head of Procurement will include:

  • Lead supplier partnerships, cost efficiencies, and robust contract management. Requires a focus on the long-term sustainability of the group.
  • Manage senior supplier relationships, agreeing multi-million-pound contracts to deliver best value.
  • Develop and implement procurement frameworks for other Group services, including IT, marketing agencies, and any additional business needs.
  • Ensure strong contracts are in place that drive cost efficiencies and operational benefits to the Group’s P&L.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, property, IT, marketing) to ensure cross-functional alignment on procurement strategies.
  • Lead and inspire the procurement team, fostering a high-performance culture that drives results and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and respond to market changes, ensuring procurement strategies remain agile and competitive.
  • Support the development and implementation of procurement-related technology and systems to enhance efficiency and reporting.

You’ll need to be extensively experienced in procurement and we’d love you be experienced in Property (as a function) procurement. You’ll need proven experience in procurement leadership roles, particularly within material contract negotiations and property-related categories.
Additionally, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate;
1. Experience in managing large, complex supplier relationships and contracts across diverse non-food and drink categories.
2. Strong understanding of procurement strategies that drive P&L improvements and cost efficiencies.
3. Exceptional negotiation and contract management skills.
4. Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions such as operations, IT, property, and marketing.
5. Your ability to lead and develop a high-performing procurement team.
You’ll need to be a strategic thinker with the ability to translate business goals into effective procurement solutions.
