Description:
WORKING PATTERN: PERMANENT / FULL TIME
As the Head of Procurement & Supply Chain, you will:
- Lead the strategic sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management efforts to optimise efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
- This role involves developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and products.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
- Oversee the procurement process including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Manage inventory levels and optimise supply chain processes to reduce lead times.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with contract and operational requirements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement, materials team.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and supply chain performance to senior management.
- Monitor and manage risks related to supply chain disruptions.
- Lead the overall group procurement strategy in line with divisional requirements
- Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner
YOU’LL HAVE EXPERIENCE OF:
- Leadership and team management
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities
- Excellent organisational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and supply chain management tools.
- Analytical mindset with a strategic approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree qualified in a relevant subject or equivalent
- Membership of a recognised professional body
- Significant, demonstrable experience in a similar position
- Direct experience of the strategic control of suppliers
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant oil & gas industry codes and standards
- Experience in managing and developing others
- Competent in the use of MS Office applications
