We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Product to lead our product management team and drive the development and execution of our software product strategy.

Location: Stockport (Hybrid, 2 days a week)
As Head of Product, you will be responsible for delivering the product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle, driving the strategy, development, and success of our AI, data, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and user-centric software products that exceed market expectations.
The role would holistically oversee the product portfolio, which will include multiple products at different stages of their lifecycles. They will contribute to and implement CDL’s product strategy decisions about product launches, investments, and potential integrations. They will also contribution to the financial success of CDL’s product portfolio.
This role will Represent the Product Manager function at the Senior Management Team (SMT) and provide a clear line of sight through all tiers of CDL.

You’ll oversee the strategic planning process, allocate resources effectively, and proactively address potential roadblocks. Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the company’s overall business goals and vision
  • Product Roadmap: Create and maintain a product roadmap outlining prioritised features, releases, and timelines, ensuring alignment with market trends and customer feedback.This role will operate CDL’s prioritisation system translating the vision into a set of processes that work with all counterparts on the SMT, e.g.,o Consistent implementation across CDL and use of the Ops Modelo Contribute to effective delivery working closely with Software Engineeringo Define how ideas / initiatives are raised both within CDL and from the clients
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from conception and development to launch and post-release optimisation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the product management team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure seamless product development and launch.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and inform product decisions.
  • Customer Insights: Gather and analyse customer feedback to understand their needs and pain points, incorporating insights into product development.
  • Product Launch & Marketing: Collaborate with marketing to develop effective go-to-market strategies and launch plans for new products and features.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilise data analytics to track product performance, measure key metrics, and make informed decisions.
  • Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends, leveraging AI and data to drive product innovation and differentiation.
  • Define Product Requirements and User Experience: This role will work with stakeholders (engineers, designers, marketing) to define product requirements and ensure a user-centric approach to product development. They ensure the product addresses user needs and delivers a positive user experience.
  • Metrics and Analysis: Define and track product success metrics defining KPIs to measure product success and tracking progress against goals, e.g. user engagement, conversion rates, customer satisfaction, revenue growth.Data-driven Decision Making to analyse product performance data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions about product features and future development.
