We’re looking for a Head of Product who will also be the Business Unit Leader of Ratehub Membership Business to join our growing team (Remote or based in Toronto) The Head of Product will report to the CEO of Ratehub, be part of the C suite, and lead the strategy and execution of the vision. The ideal candidate is an experienced, hand-on leader who works directly with business unit leaders, marketing, engineering and the CEO to transform ideas and opportunities into a world class experience for Ratehub members. They equally enjoy growing and leading their function as well as rolling up their sleeves to getting work done themselves.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- 8+ years of product management experience; fintech or a SaaS/B2C preferred. Startup experience is a bonus.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role directly managing a team of multiple product managers, owners and designers.
- Post-secondary degree: We value intelligence over relevance, but a bachelor’s degree in a relevant program is preferred. A degree in software engineering or computer science is a bonus.
- Data obsessed: deep experience with using data to form hypotheses, investigate assumptions and verify impact of changes. Experience with Heap and Looker is a bonus.
- Lean thinker: the candidate knows how to build project plans to verify impacts without requiring a full scale technology build
- Leader by example: you roll up your sleeves to pitch in help where it’s needed, whether that’s running a project yourself or taking care of ad hoc requests to keep the team focused
- UX obsession: exceptional ability to translate customer and business needs into outstanding products for our members
- Clear & concise communicator: whether speaking or writing, you know how to make complex concepts simple to understand.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project plans, multi-task and meet deadlines
- Experience managing Agile / Sprint / Scrum development processes
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Product Organization. Own the vision, strategy, execution and roadmap for Product at Ratehub.ca
- Developing and executing product strategies aligned with business objectives and market needs, driving product innovation and differentiation.
- Proven Product Leader with growing and scaling Product Teams
- Leading and mentoring a team of product managers, providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive performance and professional growth.
- Be a partner to the CEO in setting up the organization to transform the business into a Membership business leveraging data and technology
- Run the Membership business unit, delivering world class member experience through product features, drive engagement and optimize conversion of our existing member base through KPIs such as MAUs, DAUs and Products per member
- Lead the execution of the product life cycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, requirements gathering, roadmap development, and product launch
- Developing a strong understanding of user needs and desires, through data mining, user research, AB testing, and other quantitative/qualitative analysis, and turning those insights into a product that delights our customers and increase conversion rate
- Partner with with engineering, marketing, and the business unit leaders in the development and release of products to ensure success for the entire organization
- Continually looking for improvements to Product and Project processes we use in our daily work for efficiency and clarity
- Grow and mentor a talented team of Product Managers, Owners and Designers
