Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The mission of our Head of Product is to help RoomRaccoon become the most adopted hotel management system in the world by ensuring that our Product & Engineering Teams are operating at the highest level possible, according to our One-Page Strategic Plan (OPSP). You will be hands-on, identifying and managing requirements, priorities and the launch (including the development) of new features and solutions. The impact of product & engineering decisions should be made based on the hotelier journey and you will be a key decision-maker, with our CEO & CPO in both the development of our product and the growth of RoomRaccoon.

YOUR MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE - BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Assisting with creating and managing our product roadmap and product development process
  • Working with the Product Manager and CPO to translate the product roadmap into a development schedule for optimisation in terms of our ways of working
  • Provide information to the Product Team based on our hoteliers using RoomRaccoon, our sales teams, and marketing team and translate these into product solutions that deliver the value required for our hoteliers
  • Understand the financial and commercial impact of our competitors and the features provided
  • Be responsible for project managing how we scope and design new features, products, and use cases
  • Provide innovative solutions according to sprints and the OPSP
  • Provide information on trends in the hotel tech industry and how they impact product development
  • On a day-to-day basis, working with the CPO on decision-making, providing facts for operational efficiency and ensuring execution thereof.
  • Ensuring the stability of our product is adhered to at all times
  • Balancing the strategy and execution of expected outcomes
  • Ensuring that the Product Team follows our agile approach
  • Building an in-house Product Team that is resilient and hands-on
  • Lead, mentor and build a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their potential impact and relevance to our business.
  • Implement best practices, processes, and tools to streamline development workflows and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics, identifying areas for optimisation and improvement to enhance the customer experience.
