Description:

HYBRID WORKING (2 DAYS PER WEEK ONSITE IN FARRINGDON)

We are looking for a proactive Head of Product who will contribute, maintain and evolve the Toyota Connected Europe (TCEU) product strategy encompassing all customer facing TCEU products and capabilities to drive growth. This role is perfect for someone who is customer-centric, analytically minded, and has the ability to organise complex tasks effectively.
You will thrive in cross-functional collaboration and possesses a deep passion for product development in the mobility industry with an interest in automotive trends.
You will understand data and how it can create new revenue lines with B2B and B2C.
You will have experience of creating products with user experience front and centre.
We also require you to possess experience in working in a regulated environment, the ability to communicate clearly across various organisational levels to translate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical team members.
You will enjoy leading a team of Product Owners and Business Analysts whilst actively performing a mobility team leader role, demonstrating the key skills needed to interact with our customers, identifying value add use cases and organising product delivery aligned to Commercial go to market plans.

DELIVERY:

  • Gain a deep understanding of our technical platform and drive mobility delivery through applying structured scrum methodology and practices.
  • Coordinate bringing together different teams with varied perspectives in a collaborative manner to develop solutions to issues and contribute your own suggestions. Keep the senior leadership team informed of progress toward or changes to task timing that impacts the delivery schedule or customer expectations.
  • Lead proactive risk & dependency management, working with the team and your peers to anticipate dependencies, risks and mitigation planning.
  • Manage support and maintenance tasks alongside product development.

Team Management and Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing product management team.
  • Lead knowledge sharing sessions across TCEU domains.
  • Lead product orientated sessions with TCEU product team.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative culture that encourages continuous improvement and growth.
  • Review your team structure regularly to ensure customer and internal delivery requirements are achievable. Ensure the team members have the right skill sets for the task at hand.
  • Review team member needs with relevant Heads of in Engineering and with VP of Product and Delivery.
  • For new Product Owners and/or Business Analysts: create job descriptions, review candidate shortlists, prepare for and conduct interviews.
  • In addition to the above, for all contractor members create the associated statements of work.
  • Manage your team’s day to day tasks and issues that arise. For those issues or actions that should sit with the persons line manager, involve the correct line manager in a timely manner.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

  • Communicate product plans, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership team and other key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to align product initiatives with business objectives.
  • Manage the customer expectations through regular checkpoints and status updates.
  • Provide timely communication to supporting operational teams, senior leadership team and the customer. This maybe during the regular RAG status updates, solution review boards, launch planning and service transition and so on.

COLLABORATION:

  • Work closely with senior members of our Engineering team to lead the product delivery.
  • Bring together our multi-disciplinary teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Assist with recruitment across the teams where necessary for example, reviewing job descriptions for members in your team and participating in interviews for new team members.
  • Work in teams across the Toyota Connected ecosystem to deliver flagship products.
