Summary
We are looking for a “Head of Production Optronical Sensors & Lasers (f/m/d)” for the “Optronical Sensors & Lasers” division at the Oberkochen site at the earliest possible date.
The “Optronical Sensors & Lasers” division is a production area at the Oberkochen site and produces high-performance optronic sensor systems, such as IR and EO camera systems, laser systems for various applications and optronic sensor systems for use in the aviation sector.
The division covers a wide range of products - in addition to ongoing series orders in small and medium quantities, the teams work together with other departments on prototypes and initial samples as part of in-house development and customer projects.

Your Tasks

• Technical and disciplinary management of the division with all integrated departments and teams, including all associated leadership and management tasks
• Participation in the alignment and implementation of the company’s strategy as a member of the management team and support in rolling planning
• Ensuring effective and efficient production in accordance with internal and external process requirements, taking into account the available resources / capacities and within the defined time, cost and quality framework
• Organizing, managing and continuously developing / improving all production processes and the degree of industrialization as well as the associated production infrastructure
• Ensuring smooth and HSE-compliant production operations and avoiding bottlenecks
• Introducing new technologies and modern production methods as part of the industrialization strategy
• Ensuring compliance with high quality standards and implementing measures to continuously improve product quality in close cooperation with Quality Management
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and environmental requirements in production
• Continuous promotion and further development of assigned employees
• Close collaboration with all operational and administrative areas involved

Your Profile

• Completed studies with a technical focus, ideally in the field of optoelectronics or comparable
• Several years of professional experience in a responsible position in the production of complex opto-mechatronic devices including software functionality
• Experience in the optimization of production organizations and processes
• Proven knowledge and experience in modern production systems and industrialization processes
• Very good knowledge of optics and the requirements for military products and systems
• Excellent leadership skills to manage a production area and to lead and motivate employees and teams
• Comprehensive technical understanding of processes, products, technologies and industrialization structures
• Flexibility, willingness to change and initiative as well as very good communication and organizational skills
• Independent entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as a quality and solution-oriented way of working
• Very good knowledge of German and English
