THE OPPORTUNITY

We are now seeking a Head of Programme Delivery and Service Transition to join the Chief Transformation & Technology Office.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Strategic Programme Delivery and be a member of EirGrid’s extended leadership team.
As Head of Programme Delivery and Service Transition, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of the projects within the Strategic Delivery portfolio. This includes managing a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring they are appropriately scoped, adequality resources, completed on time and within budget.
You will deliver the benefits from the business investment in the capability uplifts needed to achieve EirGrid and SONI strategic goals and execute the portfolio technology delivery process to respond to changing business priorities.
We will look to you to ensure technology solutions are developed, configured and tested in line with the standards set out by the Chief Transformation & Technology Officer – ensuring solutions are appropriately secure, resilient, available and scalable. In addition, you will ensure a well-planned, efficient and quality transition of the project or product or service which has been developed, to the final business owner.
As part of your role, you will lead a team of project managers, development teams, test teams, transition teams subject matter experts, and collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholders to align Strategic Delivery projects with EirGrid and SONI strategic and business objectives.
You will have deep expertise in planning and executing complex IT programmes with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and apply rigour and discipline to the processes of project management and delivery.
