SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
A Degree (or equivalent experience).

Experience in a senior role within programme management and community engagement.

Proven ability to lead and motivate staff, ensuring efficient delivery and programme success.

Strong problem-solving skills and resilience under pressure.

Demonstrable experience in budget management and optimising programme efficiencies.

Experience in managing KPIs and using data to enhance programme performance.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently at all levels.

Familiarity with GDPR, Health and Safety, and IT Security requirements.

Proficiency in IT applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Willingness to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Head of Programmes will be responsible for both the strategic direction and practical delivery of all Trust programmes, as well as developing strong relationships with community partners.
This role combines programme management with community engagement to ensure that the Trust’s initiatives deliver meaningful impact, align with strategic goals, and are driven by community needs.
Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Programmes will focus on ensuring the efficiency of all programmes, meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and driving revenue generation through sustainable partnerships.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Programme Delivery & Evaluation: Lead all aspects of programme delivery in alignment with the Trust’s strategy, purpose, and objectives. Oversee evaluation processes to ensure programme impacts are measured and align with set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Efficiency & KPI Management: Implement strategies to enhance the efficiency of all programme activities, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring that all programmes meet or exceed their KPIs.
- Community Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to engage community stakeholders, ensuring the Trust’s programmes reflect local needs and priorities. Build and manage relationships with public, private, and voluntary sector partners.
- Budget & Resource Management: Oversee programme budgets, ensuring resources are used effectively. Contribute to the Trust’s financial planning, balancing cost management with growth and revenue generation.
- Partnerships & Revenue Generation: Manage relationships with key partners and funders, pursuing opportunities to generate income and develop sustainable partnerships that contribute to the Trust’s goals and financial stability and growth.
- Staff Development & Leadership: Lead the development and performance of Programme teams. Ensure that all staff and volunteers are motivated and equipped to deliver high-quality programmes.
- Monitoring & Impact Measurement: Implement a robust framework for tracking and evaluating the impact of all programmes, ensuring data-driven insights are used for decision-making and programme improvements.
- Logistics & Operations: Oversee the weekly programme delivery itinerary, ensuring logistical aspects are organised efficiently. Ensure compliance with health and safety, General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), and IT security standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior staff and stakeholders, including Nottingham Forest Football Club, to ensure alignment between programme delivery and the broader strategic goals of the Trust.
- Safeguarding & Equality: Ensure all programmes meet industry standards in safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion, with a focus on creating inclusive, impactful community engagement.
- Public Representation: Represent the Trust at external meetings and events, advocating for the Trust’s mission and building the organisation’s public profile.
