REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, with a proven track record of success in leading complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, including traditional and non-traditional approaches (e.g., Waterfall, Agile hybrids).
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, risk management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate a team.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement project management frameworks, standards, and processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address project challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Head of Project Management to lead our PMO team and drive operational excellence in project delivery. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing best practices, establishing clear methodologies and governance, and overseeing the entire project lifecycle. You will collaborate with senior leadership to ensure project alignment with strategic goals and effectively manage resources to deliver projects on time and within budget.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership for the PMO team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Develop and implement a comprehensive project management framework that optimises project delivery processes and ensures consistent project execution.
  • Methodology and Governance: Establish clear project management methodologies and standards, including project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and control. Implement robust project governance practices to ensure effective risk management, issue resolution, and stakeholder communication.
  • Project Portfolio Management: Oversee the project portfolio and ensure alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. Prioritise projects based on business needs and resource availability. Continuously monitor project performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation, including senior executives, department heads, and project managers. Communicate project progress effectively and proactively address stakeholder concerns.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement best practices to enhance project management processes and tools. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
  • PMO Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the PMO, including resource allocation, budget management, and reporting. Develop and maintain project management templates, documentation, and knowledge base.
