The Head of Project Operations is a key leader who will be responsible for overseeing project portfolios, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact projects. We are looking for a Head of Project Operations to join and lead our NSW Projects Team, responsible for our Project Managers and onsite deployment teams. You will be accountable for delivering our client facing projects, business unit planning, training, staff development and the overall delivery performance of all NSW projects.
Reporting to the General Manager (NSW), this role involves outstanding management and organisational skills to deliver exceptional outcomes for our clients and includes being the point of escalation, helping to mitigate project risks, as well as actively managing your own project portfolio at maximum efficiency with thorough planning to achieve exceptional results.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years industry experience or similar in project and deployment skills in the electrical, IT or building industry. You will bring these competencies, skills, and experience with you to the team:

• Proven project management experience in large projects, with tight timelines
• Demonstrable evidence of managing and growing a projects or deployments team
• Hands-on experience with system designs, works programmes/schedules, flowcharts, technical documentation, contract deliverables
• Just in time procurement, project planning, resource management, basic financial skills and knowledge of project management software

The following qualifications are preferred but not essential.

• Recognised technical qualification in ICT, mechanical or electrical discipline
• Recognised qualification in project management
• Recognised qualification in project management software (MS Project preferred)
