Description:
This role coordinates and runs individual Capex and Opex projects across all trade groups on a national basis, ensuring the team of managers/ project managers deliver efficient, effective and quality projects on time and on budget.
What you’ll be doing…
nsure the team of Managers / Project Managers deliver efficient, effective & quality projects on time and to budget.Be responsible for and lead individual Capex and Opex projects across all trade groups on a national basis.Plan and prepare quarterly team meetings with reporting team.CommunicationKey point of contact for Partnership teams across all trade groups ensuring that the all requests are processed and delivered on time, within budget and expectations are met.Develop relationships with Partnerships Managers and the Regional Operations Departments to ensure that technical support is relevant, timely and pro-active and that communication is always open.Select, develop & manage relationships with suppliers as well as crafting a portfolio of contractors to strengthen market position.Strategy and PlanningStrategic shaping of the organisation; defining direction and strategy, whilst also mentoring Managers/Project Managers of the future to improve internal abilitiesTender review and contractor selection.Provide guidance and direction on new products working closely with JCD Corporate & third-party suppliers.Select design appointments and review and approve designs.Contracts and Supplier ManagementMotivate suppliers to create an environment that organically generates a high focus on quality, cost, program, HS&E awareness whilst also understanding risk.Conduct performance reviews with key designers, contractors and suppliers.Responsibility for Initiation, Design, Tendering, Pre-Construction, Construction & Handover.Review and approve Project Initiation Documentation including budget estimates.ComplianceEnsure the Company’s construction, quality and health & safety standards are being implemented and followed on all sites.Ensure works are undertaken & notified in line with CDM regulations.Ensure Project Managers & contractors undertake accident investigations and adhere to the reporting procedures under RIDDOR.Audit H&S Files on project completion.Key writer/reviewer of business process to achieve certified status, reduce risks, increase efficiencies and improve performance.Ensure site audits are undertaken by Project Managers and Managers.Ensure that legislative, H&S and JCDecaux standards are fully met during both design and delivery.FinancialChallenge costs/tenders to achieve best value through efficient and effective design and delivery.Ensure suitability of payment plans & contract terms to minimise business exposure.Review & approve Capex prior to being presented for final Director and CEO approval.

CapabilitiesA high standard of personal presentation, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills – both written and oral.Ability to handle the delivery of high quality products with first class presentation which meets the vision of the company & clients.A flexible approach as this role involves extensive travel around the portfolio.Be creative, innovative and self-motivated with plenty of energy and passion.Ability to work well and enjoy working in the constantly changing and challenging operations arena.Evaluating and assessing the effectiveness of the supply chain to ensure that contracts fit for purpose and delivering against the agreed Service Level AgreementsGood time management skills.Dedication and confidence to deliver high levels of performance.Ability to co-ordinate work with other departments or companies to meet business objectives.Strong organisation, investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong awareness of safety, quality principles, H&S management systems and aspects of risk management in a multi-site environment.Qualifications & ExperienceQualified in occupational health and safety to IOSH and/ or NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent an advantage.Solid project management experience in civil engineering leading designers and contractors.Process agreeable - Understand the value of process & how it benefits all.Competent with contemporary software packages, Microsoft Office.A clean current full driving licence.
