Responsibilities:
- You lead a team of 11 AI and IoT system and engineering experts.
- You work 50% hands-on and help the team with the system architecture, security standards, devops, troubleshooting and debugging.
- You work 50% as the manager that sets the technical direction and vision.
- You transform IoT requirements into scalable, secure and efficient backend solutions.
- Your department optimizes and automates consistently the software performance by spotting potential problems and solving them.
- You work with technologies like Python, Linux Bash, GNU Make, GNU Compiler Collection, GNU Binutils, GNU Debugger, GNU Autotools, Networking Concepts and Security Concepts.
Your profile:
- You are an expert in the design, implementation, migration, deployment, observability, monitoring of a production system. Meaning you did not only develop a prototype.
- Minimum 8 years full-time work experience in the software/systems engineering field.
- Minimum 3 years full-time work experience in R&D or product engineering.
- Minimum 1 year experience in technical leadership, mentoring, management.
- You understand the concepts of distributed systems in depth, working with Python, Bash scripting, Linux command line and C/C++ and are fluent in one coding language.
- Stream Processing, Real-Time Data Processing, Image Processing, Big Data Processing, Sensor Data Processing, Edge Computing are fields you are familiar with.
- Ability to guide the team in technical decisions regarding system architecture, routing, firewalling, with GNU tools, TCP, UDP, DNS, NAT.
- Fluent in English.
