Description:
WHAT YOU’LL BE LEADING ON
- Plan, deliver and implement new regional contract arrangements to the agreed timetable. Maintain all existing and interim contract arrangements to ensure seamless transition.
- Lead development and implementation of business cases, project plans and other key documents in support of delivering our Business Improvement themes. Secure all necessary approval decisions to align with stakeholder objectives and agreed timeframes.
- Accountable for embedding and sustaining required changes into the region.
- Ensure national consistency in the approach and delivery of Business Readiness and Embed and Sustain activities, aligning with best practice governance and guidance from the National Highways Change Delivery Team and the Heads of Directorate Change.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure our collective responsibility to deliver a planned, consistent and assured programme is achieved.
- Lead financial and programme governance ensuring arrangements are established and maintained and all risks effectively mitigated or managed.
- Identify, mitigate and manage all risks to performance and delivery of the change programme ensuring delivery of the required outcomes.
- Lead all change project and programme reporting and management information ensuring visibility of progress and performance by the Regional Leadership Team, Operations Senior Management and Business Partners.
- Lead and champion engagement and collaboration with internal and external colleagues. Work in partnership with stakeholders to drive understanding, maintain alignment on Regional activities and resolve conflicting goals, priorities and timescales.
- Work collaboratively with business partners to ensure that the project and programme plans to initiate contract changes are developed and maintained to enable optimised delivery in line with the agreed strategy.

Responsibilities:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Regional Change to join our Senior Leadership team in Yorkshire and the North East to transform the way we work. Within this role, you will be leading on making significant changes to the way we contract and deliver our responsibilities of operating and maintaining the major road network. You will be managing organisational change, ensuring our people and those who work alongside us are highly effective and efficient in the work they deliver.
This role can be based from our Darlington, Leeds or Wakefield office.
