Why this role is valuable
Ornua is seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to join our team as the Head of Regulatory and Trade Affairs. This role is a pivotal position for Ornua. The successful candidate will oversee Ornua’s Regulatory and Trade Compliance team, who are responsible for monitoring, recording and advising on key dairy trade regulatory, and related issues, across Ornua’s businesses, primarily in Ornua’s core and strategic markets. The role also offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with and support Ornua’s Regulatory Affairs Business Partner in North America.
Key focus areas for the Head of Regulatory and Trade Affairs are: dairy exporting, customs compliance, Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) issues, trade agreements, placing product on the market, food law, labelling, packaging, ESG/sustainability programs and schemes.

KEY REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:

Third level regulatory or related qualification or experience Business acumen and experience of working in or understanding of food/dairy industry People management experience Experience of implementing issues management systems Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good people, time management and organisational skills Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
