In anticipation of increasing scale and complexity of the business we’re now looking for a Head of Research.
The Head of Research at Booksy plays a pivotal role in ensuring the company possesses comprehensive, fact-based insights about its customers and providers at both strategic and operational levels. This leader is tasked with establishing and maintaining a center of excellence for research, guaranteeing that all knowledge across the company is methodologically rigorous and consistently aligned with business objectives. By leading a dedicated team, the Head of Research ensures that actionable and accurate data drives product innovation and strategic decisions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and data-driven excellence throughout the organization.

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Exhibits strong proficiency in English with exceptional communication skills, capable of clearly articulating research findings, influencing product strategy, and championing user needs through different parts and levels of the organization.
  • Ability to grow a deep understanding of the company’s products from a user perspective, enabling effective collaboration with product managers to pinpoint research opportunities that catalyze product innovation.
  • Can maintain a strong grasp of emerging technologies and industry trends, with the visionary insight to anticipate shifts in user behavior and market conditions, positioning the company for strategic advantage.
  • Demonstrates expertise in a broad range of research methodologies and tools, providing comprehensive insights into market trends, customer behaviors, and competitive dynamics.
  • Skilled in fostering collaboration across various teams and departments, effectively bridging disciplinary gaps to create a unified working environment.
  • Expert in managing multiple teams, with a focus on coaching and developing leaders, effectively using performance management, constructive feedback, and goal-setting to support professional growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Research Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive research strategy that aligns with the Serviceable Addressable Market (SAM) and Total Addressable Market (TAM), ensuring a deep understanding of customer needs and expectations.
  • Driving Innovation Through Research: Lead the pursuit of innovative research topics with the potential to transform existing product offerings and tap into new markets.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align research strategies and manage resources, optimizing research outcomes and maximizing ROI.
  • Championing Customer Literacy: Foster company-wide understanding and utilization of validated customer needs to drive strategic growth and enhance product delivery performance.
  • Research Data Management: Implements robust research data management practices to ensure data integrity and relevance and translates complex data findings into strategic recommendations.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain methodological rigor and consistency in research practices, adapting to industry evolution and technological advancements to uphold high standards.
  • People Development: Attract, retain, and develop top research talent, managing team growth and performance with a focus on continuous improvement and personal development.
