The role involves leading the Sales & Marketing Management strategy to guide activities like business development, product and brand profitability (P&L), and brand licensing, aligning them with the company’s financial objectives and group policies. It includes designing and implementing marketing strategies, overseeing policies and processes to ensure that marketing efforts support the growth of the company’s products and brands.
Additionally, the role is responsible for planning sales and business development activities, including forming partnerships through alliances, channels, and networks. A key focus is managing brand licensing to ensure that the brand expands while maintaining quality standards. The position also requires delivering processes that meet product and brand sales volume and profit targets, along with evaluating and managing the product and brand P&L through budgeting, expenditures, and ROI assessment. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is also a critical aspect of the role.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Core Function (HR, IT, Finance, Legal, Sales & Marketing, etc.) on a Global/Regional/ Line of Business/Country level such as Head of Finance & Accounting, Head of Human Resources.
- Establish and are accountable for strategies that have long-term impact (3-5 years) on business results in alignment with organization’s global business strategy
- Impact is strategic and resonates throughout the full area of scope (Global/Regional/Business/Country level)
- Lead multiple teams of executives, directors/senior managers, and managers
- Ensure appropriate talent selection, organization and leadership for major areas of the organization
- Responsible to leading and planning ways to optimize the entity or function including the team structure required to deliver results
- Negotiate critical agreements/contracts with other departments and external parties
- Develop strong, trusting relationships with senior business leaders across Galderma and partner organizations
- Influence others across Galderma and externally as a recognized thought leader representing the Group
- Foster cooperation and partnership to provide integrated solutions to problems
Minimum Experience
- Experience in a commercial position, with ideally background in both global and regional/local roles
- Previous work experience in either pharmaceutical or consumer company
- Master’s degree, MBA or equivalent
- Strong experience across Consumer OR Aesthetics OR Prescription businesses -incl. understanding of regional industry landscape and trends•Strong business/commercial acumen
- Strong influencing and collaboration skills to partner with key internal stakeholders
- Excellent knowledge and expertise in Sales, Marketing, and General Management, including customer relationship management
- Excellent oral and written skills to communicate complex issues and influence others
