Description:

You will be the Head of Sales for our Sections & Merchant Bars agency in Cologne, Germany.

Tasks:

  • Cologne agency management: technical and disciplinary management of our sales department (two people) located in Cologne
  • Direct reporting to management ( Managing director responsible for D-A-CH-NoSeFi & DK)
  • Market analysis and carrying out customer location and customer potential analyses
  • Further development of the existing sales structures
  • Expansion and maintenance of the customer portfolio
  • Participation and monitoring of budget targets and sales targets for Cologne
  • Definition and creation of sales strategy with management
  • Leading negotiations with customers
  • Combined office duty and field service with customers and plants
  • Reporting and statistics to HQ and Finance
  • General marketing activities
  • Administrative activities

Profile:

  • A business or technical degree, alternatively a commercial degree training
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in sales or purchasing, preferably in the steel trading sector (alternatively, professional experience with technical understanding of industry)
  • Strong sales and customer orientation
  • Strong communication skills and negotiation skills
  • Very good user knowledge of MS Office and SAP/R3
  • Fluency in German, good level of English spoken and written
  • High mobility: 50% traveling in Germany, Switzerland and Luxembourg
  • High level of motivation, independence and ability to work in a multicultural team and matrixial environment.
