YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

  • Proven sales success in SaaS in a Senior BDM or Sales Director role within a fast-growing SaaS environment
  • Hunter and Relationship builder with the ability to drive new business
  • Data-driven and strategic with the ability to analyse sales metrics, refine strategies, and make data-informed decisions
  • Experienced in coaching and building high-performance teams focused on achieving goals
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and forecasting skills with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships effectively
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
  • Adaptability and resilience with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and achieving goals
  • Familiarity with HR or learning software (preferred), SaaS contract structures, and industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Sales - Platform is a newly created role designed to lead and set the standard for sales excellence for an existing team of Business Development Managers, while actively managing your own sales pipeline. You will help develop, lead and execute the sales strategy for the Compono Platform team. As well as being a Product SME yourself, you will collaborate closely with Marketing, Product and Customer Success and Support teams to ensure alignment, analyse and pivot as necessary, optimise sales and go-to market strategies and ultimately ensure revenue sales targets are achieved while targeting new clients within ANZ.

  • This role offers a competitive base salary + Superannuation + a generous uncapped commission structure (which would be discussed in the recruitment process).
  • This role is open to remote applicants located in Australia to complement the working relationships within the existing team. Please note, the role is hybrid for applicants in Brisbane.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

To be successful in the role, you will be responsible for the following areas:

  • Sales Strategy: Define and implement a sales strategy aligned with Compono’s growth objectives, focused on achieving revenue goals.
  • Sales Pipeline: Build and manage a strong sales pipeline focused on ideal customer profiles (ICP), maintaining visibility into sales progress and revenue forecasting.
  • Market Identification and Segmentation: Continuously analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to refine target market segments and optimise product positioning.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain expertise in Compono’s Platform and offerings to effectively communicate value propositions and address client needs.
  • Sales Execution: Lead all stages of the sales cycle, from identifying prospects to closing deals, ensuring targets are met or exceeded on a consistent basis.
  • Sales Proposals, Contracts & Negotiation: Prepare and negotiate sales proposals and contracts tailored to individual clients, securing mutually beneficial agreements in collaboration with legal and executive teams.
  • Client Implementation & Solution Design: Collaborate with clients to design implementation plans that address their needs, ensuring a seamless transition to the Customer Success team for ongoing support.
  • People Leadership: Foster a high-performing sales team through coaching, performance management, and clear goal setting, cultivating a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
