You will have substantial experience of professional, senior management in a security and customer services environment, with a proven track record of leading multisite security operations. You will also demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the legislation and governance issues relating to security.
With a proven capability as a leader or manager, you will have a flexible and inclusive management style and a commitment to people development, ensuring you consider our organisational values and behaviours that underpin the culture and value of the University.
You will demonstrate an ability to think tactically and laterally, showing an energy and resilience in your response to emerging incidents and a continuous improvement mindset to constantly develop the service in a fast changing environment.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a new Head of Security, to lead, direct and manage the operational performance and service quality of the University’s Security and Estates and Campus Services Teams to ensure it provides an excellent service to our students, staff and visitors. This role will have a a significant and positive impact on our University community, acting as a professional expert and change agent on the long-term direction, strategy and objectives of the University’s security services, shaping the professional culture proactively to meet the changing demands of an evolving estate and customer base.
You will be accountable for the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, buildings and other property through effective security processes, risk reduction initiatives and services which demonstrate value for money, innovation and effectiveness. You will also ensure compliance with all relevant standards and legislation, providing professional support to develop policies and procedures which deliver and improve the student, staff and visitor experience.
