Description:

Following a period of organisational change the Operations Directorate is configuring to both build on our foundations of success and to meet the Trust’s long-term ambitions. A new structure is rolling out across the service and now is an exciting time to join and help create a stable and effective leadership and management team for this service area.
If you have senior experience in the delivery of patient transport or ambulance services, this post could be right for you.
The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of the operational elements of the Trust’s Patient Transport Service and Urgent Care Services across Wales.
Over the last decade the service, which supports more than 750,000 patients per year, has transformed considerably and continues to have ambitious plans for the future. If you feel that you help us further develop and refine the service to help meet health needs of the public in Wales, have the experience, knowledge, and skills for this exciting position and want to be part of something special as we develop #TeamWAST, we would love to hear from you.
Working to the Assistant Director of Operations, Ambulance Care, you shall lead a team of Service Managers to manage the operational elements of the Patient Transport Service, Urgent Care Service and Falls Service to provide high quality, responsive non-emergency ambulance services to the population of Wales.
This area of work is fast paced and will require the post holder to manage a diverse and high volume portfolio. We expect the role to be high profile, internally and externally, so you should be prepared to represent the Trust as required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
