HEAD OF SERVICE – CENTRAL & DIGITAL WEIGHT MANAGEMENT SERVICE

Join ABL Health, a leading provider of weight management and health improvement services nationwide. Our Central and Digital Weight Management Service is the backbone of our growth and sustainability strategy, and we’re looking for a dynamic leader to drive it forward.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Head of Service, you will lead and inspire the team, ensuring operational excellence and driving transformation of user experiences across both digital and face-to-face channels. Collaborating closely with our app development teams, you’ll work to integrate digital tools into our services to create a seamless user journey. You’ll also work with our engineering team to develop prototypes, test products, and ensure the final product meets all requirements. From a technical perspective, you’ll be actively involved in every stage of the product development process.

SOME OF THE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA FOR THE ROLE:

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in a health-related field: e.g., Public Health, Nutrition, Dietetics, Nursing, Health Improvement, Community Health.
  • Proven experience in managing and optimising weight management services, including Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3.
  • Experience of working as a product manager, product owner or similar role bridging between business and technical teams.
  • Track record in leading large teams and engaging stakeholders to achieve service excellence.
  • Demonstrable experience in working with external boards, commissioners, and steering groups to improve health outcomes.
  • Strong background in contract management, performance tracking, and driving data-informed service improvements.
  • Proven experience in using service data and population health data to shape service strategy and improve outcomes.
  • Ability to effectively gather requirements and translate business needs into product features.
