HEAD OF ENGINEERING – BELFAST - £85,000 - £100,000

Silverwood Recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working with an Industry leading client as they seek to recruit an experienced Head of Engineering to lead their innovative and dynamic Software Team and continue pushing boundaries within the realms of Renewable Energy.
The Head of Engineering will be responsible for overseeing all technical and development aspects within the company. This includes developing and implementing innovative engineering strategies, managing the Development team, aligning with strategic business objectives and contributing to the successful delivery of associated projects according to strategic milestones.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the development team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise across all associated projects.
  • Ensure that engineering practices and processes meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Deep understanding of full-stack and AI system design and architecture.
  • Strong understanding of device interfacing and API integration.
  • Ability to design and guide the implementation of robust data management procedures
  • Ensure high availability of infrastructure.
  • Contribute to the planning, execution, and delivery of associated projects and ensure these align with strategic goals.
  • Manage resources to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Ensure that all technical documentation is reviewed and kept up to date.
  • Lead the development team in working to the highest standards and producing a best-in-class product
  • Drive innovation within the Development team, encouraging the development of new ideas and solutions.
  • Identify opportunities for technological advancements that can enhance the company’s services and client offerings.
  • Lead the development and implementation of new tools and systems.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating relevant advancements into the company’s technological roadmap.
  • Recruitment and line management of Development team.
