Lloyds Banking Group (LBG) is building the bank of the future, and we need your help! LBG spends billions per annum with thousands of third-party suppliers, who support the provision of a diverse range of products and/or services, operating as an extension of the Group.
About us
Group Sourcing and Supplier Management (GS&SM) plays a vital role in both cost efficiencies and revenue generation, collaborating with the business to ensure we understand their needs, and to assist them with making informed decisions that balance pace and risk, when acquiring goods and services.
We invest our money wisely with suppliers who can help us deliver our mission. We want to go further than ever before and become a purpose driven organisation, so that every decision we make, big and small, truly
helps Britain prosper
and delivers the right outcomes for customers, communities, and colleagues.
We’re looking for the right person to join us in GS&SM as a Head of Sourcing and Supplier Management Framework. You’ll be leading the team who manage support and continually improve the framework for optimal end-to-end supplier lifecycle management. This role will give you the opportunity to lead a dynamic team, engaging closely with a wide range of colleagues as well as external customers including peer organisations and regulatory bodies.
You’ll be someone who loves a challenge and is able to balance keeping the group and our customers safe, whilst enabling pace of delivery and competitive advantage for the organisation, meeting current and future business priorities.
What you’ll do
- Own the strategy for the Sourcing and Supplier Management framework, to ensure our businesses can safely go faster with their complex and diverse portfolio of suppliers as an extension of our group to deliver innovation and excellent products and services to our customers.
- Lead the approach to managing downstream supplier risk associated with all stages of the supplier lifecycle, whether that sits with 4th parties or further down the supply chain.
- Monitor performance of existing framework to drive continuous improvement. Help LBG colleagues balance pace and risk when sourcing third party goods and services. Use a data driven approach to manage ongoing performance and user experience, whilst continually improving productivity and effectiveness.
- Drive customer centric prioritisation of change activity, innovating and leveraging agile methodology. Own Sourcing and Supplier Management Products ensuring delivery of a positive user experience through features, journeys and technology components.
- Develop strong executive stakeholder partnerships throughout the organisation and externally to ‘bring the outside in’ and ensure best practice is embedded into all interactions with 3rd parties. Understand and integrate customer needs and emerging regulatory requirements into the framework.
- Lead, inspire and engage a large and diverse workforce to achieve the business strategy. Develop SME (Subject Matter Expert) knowledge in the team. Inspire people and get their full commitment to deliver the extraordinary through role modelling Lloyds Banking Group values and providing transparent, authentic leadership.
What you’ll need
- Procurement and supply chain management expertise with strong experience across a breadth of product or service categories.
- Experience of relevant methodologies and ideally professional accreditation such as SIPOC, CIPS, agile delivery etc.
- Experienced in the creation and ongoing maintenance of sourcing and supplier management frameworks, policy, processes, and procedures. Experience of delivering within a risk management framework, and associated guidance and training materials.
- Experienced in applying critical thinking and structured communication to tackle complex problems.
- Experience developing long and short-term strategic objectives, ensuring the organisation’s performance management framework is aligned with the desired culture.
- A background of delivering successfully across complex projects, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
- Experience in creating high performing teams and mobilising them to deliver solutions in demanding timescales.
You’ll be part of a great team. We have colleagues predominantly located across core hubs in the UK: Edinburgh, Bristol, Halifax, London and Birmingham. You’ll find that you’ll split your time typically during the week between home and your nearest hub. Ad hoc travel to other core hubs across the UK for team collaboration and external engagements will also be required.
