Description:

The Head of Strategic Planning and Commercial Excellence reports to the Executive Vice President of Nutrition and dotted line to Vice President Strategy & Business Excellence P&N. Primarily responsible for developing and supporting the execution of the global strategic plan and strategic initiatives for the Nutrition business in close partnership with all relevant functions (e.g. Regional sales organization, Technical operations, Regulatory, R&D…). This will also include driving diagnostics of underperforming areas, designing a plan to improve performance and follow-up on the execution to accelerate overall business growth.
Your assignments

  • You will identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities on working processes and governance from innovation to portfolio, launches and commercial execution at BU level and in close collaboration with our regions
  • You will support design and execution of key BU global strategic projects to enable mid to long term growth. Submit and present summary to key stakeholders in finance and the management team
  • You will partner with Sales, Service and Marketing to refine processes, analyze and report on campaign performance with reporting and dashboards
  • You will coordinate timely preparation of financial forecasts summarizing company’s product portfolio performance and key trends for BU Nutrition
  • You will prepare demand planning strategy for the company’s product portfolio for local and international businesses
  • You will manage and oversee the BU’s data assets. Serve as the data steward in preparing, summarizing, and managing all commercial analysis
  • You will use relevant databases and tools to obtain and prepare high-quality analysis in a consistent manner
  • Identify, analyze, and provide recommendations related to competitive trends in the Nutrition industry will also be in your scope
  • You will apply strategic and competitive market intelligence within business analysis that could inform and influence strategic and operational decisions in the short, mid and long term (e.g. pipeline prioritization, resources allocation, launch timing, pricing, complexity reduction…)
  • You will provide input into continuous improvement of financial analysis processes and interfaces with others involved organizational units
  • You will work in collaboration with Marketing and Business Unit Portfolio Teams to make recommendations on future pipeline targets and product opportunities by leading the market assumptions and financial analysis for all new products or business development initiatives
  • You will contribute to the preparation of BU presentations to senior leadership, assess the impact of the analysis, identify conclusions, opportunities, and risks, and make appropriate recommendations to Senior Management
  • You will work in collaboration with the Strategy & Business Excellence Lead P&N to support the Nutrition transformation initiatives within Vision 2026

Your profile

  • You have a successfully completed BA or BS required (MBA degree a plus)
  • You bring at least 3-5 years of consulting work experience, ideally in one of the Big 4
  • You have gained knowledge of the nutrition/medical nutrition industry or hospital products, ideally in Commercial roles
  • You feel comfortable within a multinational Matrix driven environment
  • You have excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • You have the ability to communicate at all levels, from shop floor personnel up to higher management
  • You have a strong business and financial accumen and highly analytical thinking with attention to details
  • You have the ability to work independently while having a strong team spirit
  • You are proficient in English (written & spoken), additional languages are a plus
  • You have excellent system knowledge with Excel, Power Point, Power BI and CRM’S, CPQ
  • You are open to travel, approximately 50% including international
