Summary
We are looking for a “Head of Submarine Solutions (f/m/d)” for the “Submarine Solutions” division at the Oberkochen site at the earliest possible date.
The “Submarine Solutions” division is responsible for the successful execution of customer projects in the subsea sector to realize the business objectives.
The main tasks include ensuring project / contract execution, defining customer requirements including system concept development, as well as the preparation of offers.

Your Tasks

  • Alignment and control of the objectives of the “Submarine Solutions” division with regard to business aspects
  • Responsibility for ensuring the implementation of contracts & preparation of offers
  • Planning and implementation of highly complex projects with a focus on milestones, project management (time, money and quality) including identification of opportunities and risks as well as claim and change management
  • Disciplinary management of an international team of project managers and system engineers
  • Maintaining contacts with domestic and foreign customers, defining bid strategies
  • Conducting contract negotiations
  • Proactive coordination with internal stakeholders (program / commercial areas, sales, development, production and central corporate functions)
  • Regularly informing the business unit manager about the status of the unit and projects
  • Early recognition and identification of risks and opportunities as well as proactive development and coordination of action plans
  • Monitoring the fulfillment of contracts and, if necessary, the performance of subcontractors and clarifying critical escalations
  • Recognizing and highlighting short, medium and long-term business development

Willingness to travel regularly is a prerequisite.

Your Profile

  • Completed studies in the field of industrial engineering or comparable
  • Several years of professional experience in project business for technically complex systems
  • Several years of experience in program management with international customers
  • PMP certification advantageous
  • Forward-looking and entrepreneurial thinking (acting as an “entrepreneur”), proactive and critical questioning
  • Excellent communication and moderation skills
  • Committed and confident demeanor both internally and externally
  • Intercultural competence and ability to lead and motivate a team, negotiation and assertiveness skills as well as very good communication skills in dealing with different stakeholders
  • Business fluent German and English skills
