Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

This is an exciting position that offers the chance to contribute to the expansion of Thermo Fisher Scientific Indonesia, a rapidly growing market. The Head of Supply Chain & Commercial Operations will be responsible for all supply chain and customer service operations in the country. They will develop and implement a strategy to support local customer transactions, order management and fulfillment, and shipments across all product segments and categories.
This candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the operations, requiring a well-rounded individual with diverse experience who can collaborate effectively across various departments. They will work closely with leadership in commercial, finance, legal, and regulatory to understand the country’s GTM strategy, regulations, market trends, and customer needs, and support the business growth ambition. Preferred qualifications include project management skills and experience in areas like warehouse setup, ERP systems implementation, and process development for importation, quote to cash, procure to pay, etc.
As the primary operations lead in Indonesia, and a member of the Indonesia leadership team, a strong sense of personal accountability, intensity, and drive is required, whether it is solving day to day issues, developing the team and its capabilities, or driving a strong culture of compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10-15+ years of Supply Chain related experience, across multiple functionalities
  • 5+ years of experience leading cross functional teams
  • Proficiency in both English, and Bahasa Indonesia
  • High level of familiarity with Indonesian Import / Customs requirements and processes, as well as product specific regulations
  • BA/BS degree in Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration preferred. Other similar majors may be considered in conjunction with relevant on the job experience
  • APICS; CFPIM, CSCP, PMP Qualifications are a plus
  • Experience in Life Sciences, Bio-tech, or Pharmaceutical Industry, dealing with medical devices, cold chain, dangerous goods
  • Experience in Q2C & P2P Deployment & Optimization
  • Experience in successfully managing both Demand & Supply Planning processes within S&OP framework
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively source & manage 3PL providers within budget
  • System/IT savvy, experience working with SAP is a must, preferably S4/Hana
  • ERP Deployment Experience highly preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Local Commercial, Finance, Legal, Regulatory teams, and Regional/Global Supply Chain and Customer service teams to build out the appropriate supply chain and customer service infrastructure, people and processes to support Indonesia GTM strategy and business aspiration,
  • Develop, deploy, and manage the entire Quote to Cash & Procure to Pay processes for Indonesia, from handling customer inquiries, processing sales orders to delivering final shipments, including all operational tasks and communication with customers and internal teams, ensuring consistent customer experience
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Indonesia logistics and warehousing strategy for both the short and long term. This includes identifying, onboarding, and managing local 3PL warehouses and freight forwarders, covering activities such as product importation, local inventory storage and handling, and domestic delivery
  • Partner with legal, regulatory, commercial, trade compliance, freight forwarders, and Indonesia local customs to implement compliant customs clearance processes
  • Identify the necessary workforce and capabilities to support the GTM strategy, establishing and developing a team with functionalities such as Customer Service, Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Distribution, and Trade Compliance.
  • Cost & Business Annual Planning, accountability for OpEx, Freight & Duties, Headcount costs plan vs. actuals accountabilities, optimizing within budget
  • Effectively build out full customer order backlog management process, ensuring timely customer feedback, processing, and delivery of customer orders from order booking through final delivery, complaints
  • Collaborate with sales team to understand local inventory requirements, implement local S&OP and planning procedures that enable us to efficiently fulfil customer demand, while balancing demand, supply, inventory, and warehouse capacity.
  • Responsible for prudent inventory management – DOS, Net $, E&O, scrapping & obsolescence
  • Foster PPI adoption and lead efforts to streamline and digitize processes in areas such as quote to cash, procure to pay, and logistics. Ensure consistent practices, systems, and metrics across different divisions and functions.
  • Compliance (statutory, regulatory, business specific) in everything that we do in E2E Supply Chain
  • Champion Quality, Safety, EHS, Cybersecurity across the organization
  • Implement, track, report, and improve upon key performance metrics- Customer Allegiance Score, CRD Past Due, On Time In Full and On Time to Promise, Inventory Fill Rates, Working Capital, DOS, E&O, Logistics & Warehousing Cost and productivity
