Head of Supply Chain/ Supply Chain Manager

The Head of Supply Chain will report to the Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for developing and implementing the supply chain strategy in line with the company growth plan.

• Responsible for:

o Providing the strategic direction, change leadership and functional expertise in order to support the design engineering, manufacturing and MRO business streams.
o Provide hands-on leadership to optimise working practices and implement supply chain best practice processes.
o Building and leading a high performing supply chain team that is capable of managing demand, supply and inventories.
o Provide expertise including supplier contract and negotiation.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be:
  o Educated to Degree level in a supply chain management discipline or other relevant field.
  o An experienced people leader.
  o Able to communicate effectively at all levels including at executive level.
  o Experienced with negotiating and contracting with suppliers and partners.

o Competent with export control laws and regulations.

• Must have:

o Substantial experience (10+ years) of working in a supply chain environment at mid senior level.
o Experience within an aerospace, automotive, manufacturing or an engineering setting.
o Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.

o Knowledge of contracting law.

• Ideally would also have some of the following:

o Working knowledge of CAA
o Continuous improvement qualification or knowledge.
o Qualified and accredited through CIPS.
o Experience and working knowledge of ITAR.
o Working knowledge of SC2

• Creation, development and implementation of the supply chain strategy.
• Ensuring the supply chain processes are deployed, effective and efficient in use.
• Ensuring the supply chain systems and tools are fully integrated with other business systems and tools.
• Management of the supply chain team.
• Providing supply chain expertise in supplier contracts and negotiations.
• Ensuring all demands, receipts and issues are carried out accurately and effectively.
• Creating and maintaining an effective suite of supply chain KPIs.
• Inventory control and optimization.
