EXPERIENCE

  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
  • 10-15 years’ experience working directly in Sustainability and ESG, with the most recent role being of a similar managerial (Head of/ Executive Director) level of Sustainability and ESG
  • Experience working in listed financial services and / or working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
  • Sustainability experience to include key responsibilities above

  • Excellent sustainability and ESG knowledge, working expertise and skills to ensure sustainability strategy and operational plans are informed by candidate’s own experience and latest sustainability and ESG developments

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY

The Head of Sustainability will work, collaborate and influence with and across multiple departments including the Group Executive Committee, Corporate Affairs; Finance; Investor Relations, Internal Audit; Operations (Procurement, Facilities, Legal, IT), Risk, HR, as well as the client facing commercial leadership, and involves working with personnel at all levels of the company.
The role sits within the Corporate Affairs department, reporting to the Global Head of Corporate Affairs, given Corporate Affairs’ reach across the whole Marex business. The Corporate Affairs team protects and promotes Marex’s reputation externally and internally by engaging with potential and existing employees, clients, and investors, as well as other stakeholders and the broader community.

STANDARD RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the appropriate regulatory body.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
  • At all times complying with the FCA’s Code of Conduct and Marex’s Code of Conduct.
  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required.
  • To escalate risk events immediately.
  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.
