Description:
Your Role
- Drive the Cine technology and product roadmap with own budget responsibility
- Be responsible for the achievement of all product development targets (time, cost and quality)
- Built up and lead a team of system engineers, project managers and manager to design and develop new lenses and digital solutions for Cine applications
- Be the sparring partner of the Category Management to develop the category vision by identifying and integrating technology trends and develop a comprehensive technology roadmap
- Be responsible for the advanced development of digital products and services for visual effects workflows
- Innovate in the field of system design and SW and integrate design to value approaches into the development process to secure COGS targets
- Report the progress regularly to the board of management
- Be part of the Consumer Products Technology & Innovation team and share results with the other segments Hunting/Nature and Mobile Imaging
- Build and foster networks by connecting within the ZEISS Group (e.g. Corporate Research) and external partner
Your Profile
- Academic degree (PhD) in the field of physics
- 3+ years of practical experience in leading teams
- 5+ years’ experience in designing and developing optical and or digital imaging systems in an industry environment
- Willingness to develop a genuine passion for the process and techniques of filmmaking and get involved with major aspects of production
- Customer-centered mindset that enables you to understand and focus on end users and their usage context in order to pragmatically find the best solution
- Strong strategic thinking to contribute to product visions and derivation of long-term goals and technology roadmaps
- Strong technical background in system engineering
- Agile mindset with strong experience in design thinking methods knowledge in agile development processes using SCRUM is a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in front of top management, partner and customer
- Team player with excellent motivational skills and quick perception, reliability and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and willing to adapt to flexible tasks
