Summary
We are looking for a “Head of Tactical Datalink (f/m/d)” for the “Tactical Datalinks” division at the Taufkirchen site as soon as possible.
The “Tactical Datalinks” department is responsible for the development and series production of the MIDS Power Amplifier, business development for the future European Link16 successor system ESSOR MIDS and the implementation of national and European studies in the context of military networking. The aim is to drive forward the strategic development of military data links at HENSOLDT as an enabler for multi-domain solutions.

Your Tasks

  • Disciplinary management, motivation and further development of employees as well as ensuring an efficient organizational and operational structure
  • Further development of the strategy for the Tactical Datalinks program unit in the context of multi-domain solutions
  • Responsibility for the cost, quality and timely completion of development, series delivery and study projects
  • Supporting sales in the acquisition phase and conducting contract negotiations
  • Planning and implementing all contracts with service providers and suppliers, taking into account deadline, cost and quality requirements
  • Participation in the preparation of business development planning and determination of personnel planning
  • Formulating cooperation strategies and ensuring workshare shares
  • Ensuring the implementation of proactive R&OM and claim / waiver management to identify and implement customer requirements
  • Ensuring the interaction of all program activities with the Customer Service department

Your Profile

  • Completed university degree in engineering, business administration, economics or comparable training
  • Several years of professional experience in program / product management, development or financial controlling
  • Experience in managing and motivating employees
  • Experience in working with platform manufacturers (OEMs), system integrators and relevant (inter)national industry partners
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge of tactical data links and their integration in various types of aircraft, land-based vehicles and ships
  • Strong entrepreneurial thinking and assertiveness
  • Very good presentation and negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to understand and communicate complex interrelationships
  • Business fluent in German and English, other languages (French, Spanish or Italian) an advantage
