REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 6 years of experience in technical design, specifically in the TV, film, and events industries.
- Specialist construction knowledge relating to the TV, film, and events industry.
- Proven ability to efficiently problem-solve and encourage a team of designers to adopt a similar approach.
- Strong background in construction detailing and technical plan development.
- Proficient in Rhino, Vray, Sketchup, AutoCAD, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Excellent skills in technical report writing and presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure in a creative, fast-paced environment.
- Proactive leadership with a collaborative approach to team management.
- Commitment to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies.
- Organisational skills, conscientiousness, and meticulous attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
As the Head of Technical Design, you will lead our design team with a focus on developing detailed and practical construction plans. Your role will involve leveraging your specialist knowledge in construction specific to the TV, film, and events industries, solving complex design challenges efficiently, and promoting a problem-solving mindset within your team. Proactive leadership is key in transforming client briefs into comprehensive construction plans, coordinating with various teams to ensure practicality in CNC fabrication. While 3D rendering skills are beneficial, your primary focus will be on technical construction planning and innovative problem-solving.
