Job Description:

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Head of Pricing and Underwriting for Bupa Global DAC is responsible for managing pricing and underwriting for business. The role holder will fulfil the Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements and work closely with the Executives as well as with the wider the Bupa Global Pricing Function.

KEY SKILLS NEEDED FOR THIS ROLE:

• Experience of making change happen (ideas into actions into results)
• Ability to work with ambiguity and uncertainty -often driven by incomplete / uncertain data
• A proactive mindset, challenging requirements, seeing things from a customer angle and exploring new directions from results of analyses
• Strong communication and influencing skills and experience in presenting complex issues simply and clearly
• Excellent in presenting all types of information including complex data and strategic recommendations at all levels of an organisation
• Proven success in influencing at Director levels and achieving change in a complex business
• Experience of managing a demanding workload and tight deadlines
• Excellent planning and organisational skills and project management experience
• Experience of insurance pricing
• Experience of general insurance or health insurance
• Experience of commercial decision making
• An appreciation of actuarial, medical and statistical issues relating to pricing
