JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Server to join our dynamic team in a bustling restaurant environment. The Head Server will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences by leading the service team, managing dining operations, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality. This position requires a strong understanding of food safety, culinary practices, and excellent guest service skills.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and culinary practices.
  • Excellent guest service skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately.
  • Exceptional time management abilities to prioritise tasks during busy periods.
  • A passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing outstanding customer experiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and other team members in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and guest satisfaction.
  • Train and mentor serving staff on best practices in hospitality, upselling techniques, and food safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
  • Manage guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain a positive dining experience.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to assist guests effectively.
  • Implement time management strategies to optimise service efficiency during peak hours.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of dining supplies and communicate needs to management.
