We are looking for our new Head Teacher at Guildtown Primary School.

Guildtown Primary School is a small rural school with a nursery, located only 7 miles from Perth. At Guildtown Primary School, we have a school role of 35 children in the primary in two composite classes, and 12 children in the nursery. We have a strong and dedicated staff team who are committed to improving outcomes for all children.
Guildtown Primary School has a welcoming and positive ethos where children are happy learning. The school team encourage high expectations, enthusiasm, leadership of learning and respectful relationships. They aim to promote and foster positive attitudes for lifelong learning. The school values and promotes partnerships with parents, carers and the wider community.
We are looking for a new Head Teacher who will lead us in the future, so we can continue to demonstrate our school STAR values; Supportive, Togetherness, Ambition and Respect.
The Head Teachers Education and Training (Scotland) Regulations 2019 require candidates who are appointed to their first permanent Head Teacher post from 1 August 2020 to have attained the Standard for Headship. If you have not gained this qualification, appointment can only be made on a fixed term basis for maximum period of 30 months. Perth & Kinross Council are committed to supporting candidates gain this qualification.
