Health and Care Volunteer (Chelsea & Westminster Next Steps Service, London)

For people leaving hospital, adjusting to life at home can be a difficult time. Helping someone get their essential shopping, pick up their prescription or get the heating turned on can make all the difference for them to feel safe at home. We need you to - Volunteer for minimum of 3 hours a week Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm - living within 45 minutes travel time of the hospital. - Driving is preferable but not essential. If you drive, you must have held a driving licence for at least 2 years which allows you to drive in the UK and have access to your own vehicle. - Are available to undertake approximately 11 hours of required e-learning modules and Zoom training sessions in the first few months of volunteering plus other plus further developmental service specific trainings as required. Due to the nature of this role, applicants must undergo an Enhanced with Adults barred Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Diversity Diversity is something we celebrate.
