We are committed to ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff and students and due to staff moves we are now looking for a capable and well-organised administrator to join our central Health and Safety team.
The Role:
Working within the People and Organisational Development Directorate (POD) and reporting to a Senior Health and Safety Adviser, you will play a crucial role helping to create a sustainable and values driven health and safety culture at the University.
This is an amazing opportunity to join a forward thinking and dynamic Health and Safety Team to create impactful change, driving best practice forward.

Working in the Health and Safety team you will:

  • contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of a range of effective administrative systems and procedures.
  • collaborate with key stakeholders across the University in the delivery of a high quality, customer-focused Health and Safety provision.
  • provide face-to-face support to the Health and Safety team and its stakeholders, and assist in facilitating the on-site Occupational Health provision.
  • actively develop and support systems for the effective management of health and safety information across the University

About You:

  • you will have excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills, good levels of numeracy and a high level of spoken and written English with an attention to detail. You will be able to work supportively in a team environment, and be able to work independently and with limited supervision.

You will need to be:

  • qualified with five GCSEs at grades A-C/ 5-9, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent
  • experienced in either an administrative or a customer service role
  • familiar with Office 365 applications
  • able to prioritise your work to achieve agreed objectives
