Applied Technology and Management (ATM) a Geosyntec Company, is looking for a Health and Safety Inspector in Umluj, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for a one-year contract. Apply your safety management skills to assist our projects involving waterfront and coastal construction under the direct supervision of the Site Health and Safety Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Site Health and Safety Manager in managing the health and safety programs on the project site.
  • Review Contractor site-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASP) and safety planning documents for the project.
  • Conduct H&S audits, inspections, and training tools for Contractors.
  • Assist with safety reporting to keep the client, the company, and operational leadership and staff fully aware of H&S performance and issues.
  • Support the investigation of incidents / injuries on the project, help develop root cause / trend analysis data, and be involved in addressing mitigation actions that may be discovered.

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • High school certificate. (required)
  • Advanced degree in science, construction management, engineering, occupational safety, or related subjects. (preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of applicable experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
  • Technical understanding of construction site safety risks and safety procedures for marine, structural, and coastal projects. (required)
  • Ability to monitor several different types of construction activities simultaneously. (required)
  • Experience with Windows-based software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.). (required)
  • Excellent writing skills and detail orientation. (required)
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 kilos unaided and 21-45 kilos with assistance and/or proper engineering controls. (required)
  • Ability to speak and hear, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. (required)
  • Strong willingness to work outdoors. (required)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, be self-motivated, and possess a strong work ethic. (required)
