Description:

Ayrton Group are seeking a Health & Safety Manager to join our client on a data centre project in the Dublin region.
This is a 6 month contract role with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will report to company Commercial EHS Manager and Group EHS Manager.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant third level qualification preferred – minimum Diploma in Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work.
  • Minimum of 7 years of post-qualification experience in a similar position is essential.
  • Previous experience in Construction projects is required.
  • Knowledge of PSCS is required.
  • A Mechanical background would be advantageous.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant environmental health & safety legislation.
  • Strong ability to prioritise tasks, work with schedules, and manage resources while remaining focused on main goals.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office required.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and maintaining the company’s Safety Management System and CMS System.
  • Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to safely deliver the completion of projects.
  • Conducting site audits and inspections as per company Safety Management system/PSCS.
  • Participating in external Quadra EHS Audits and ensuring closeout/follow up.
  • Reviewing Risk Assessment, Method Statements, and subcontractor documentation.
  • Communicating findings of site audits/inspections to site management and company EHS Manager.
  • Assist in the closure of any potential issues in line with company policy.
  • Review existing processes around communication of risk.
  • Providing training and information to the workforce using relevant training aids and media.
  • Promoting initiatives for accident prevention and greater EHS awareness on-site.
  • Managing, mentoring, and promoting the professional development of a team of EHS professionals of varying levels of experience.
  • Documentation Management, including version control, change management and controlled distribution.
  • Maintaining management systems in accordance with ISO and Safe T Cert.
  • Set high standards, by encouraging others to embed a HSQE culture.
  • Attending Safety Leadership Tours.
  • Perform other duties as required from time to time.
