Description:
BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE TOMORROW
BAM Nuttall are looking to recruit an experienced and motivated Health & Safety Manager to join our team. Being part of the ASTI team you will play a key part in the pre-construction and construction phases of large civil engineering projects which will provide critical infrastructure to enable future, renewable developments across Scotland. You will be required to work out of our area offices initially which are located in Kilsyth and Inverness before managing your time supporting projects in the Moray and Inverness Area of the Highlands of Scotland.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, support and guide all safety advisors.
- Ensure that safety systems and plans meet the relevant safety standards.
- Ensure that safety issues are discussed at project review meetings.
- Advise and guide all relevant personnel in setting up and maintaining safety systems.
- Keep clear records to comply with company internal audit standards.
- Assist managers with safety submissions, risk assessments and vendor evaluations.
- Communicate and promote the health and safety management ethos and concepts.
- Deliver training.
- Ensure that project is working to the relevant statutory health and safety documentation.
- Prepare of monthly report and submit in agreed format.
- Carry out site safety inspections.
- Identify areas for improvement and issues, submitting to the Project team.
- Monitor the adequacy of accident inspection and reporting.
- Carry out safety audits
- Liaise directly with the project manager
