Description:

The Health and Safety (Fire & Life) Officer will be required to support the health and safety efforts of Keolis-MHI, and provide expert information, advice, and training, liaising with external agencies to ensure awareness of matters which might impact the workplace health and safety programs.

EDUCATION

  • Graduation (Diploma/Degree)
  • NEBOSH/IOSH Cert
  • NFPA (CFPS)/IFE Certification
  • COSHH Management Certification

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years railway experience.
  • Experience in supporting the health and safety efforts of an organisation, and providing expert information, advice, and training, liaising with external agencies to ensure awareness of matters which might impact its workplace health and safety programs.
  • Railway experience

SKILLS / TRAINING

  • A basic understanding of recognised standards for occupational health and safety such as but not limited to, ISO 45001, Quality (ISO 9001) Environment (ISO 14001), and Fire (NFPA 130).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Report writing and presentation skills;
  • Data analysis skills (Excel and Power BI)

  • Reports safety incidents promptly and renders help in case of emergency while maintaining own safety.
  • Complies with the Company’s policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the company’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) and actively participates in its implementation and maintenance. Adheres to ISMS policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information and maintain data integrity.
  • Takes responsibility for maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company information by following established ISMS guidelines. Reports any potential security vulnerabilities or breaches to the appropriate personnel and supports the resolution of such issues promptly.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of the collaborative business relationship policy and the effectiveness of the collaborative business relationship management system, and actively participates in its implementation and embed into the Keolis-MHI business.
  • Ensuring a positive attitude to environmental & sustainability initiatives & minimise negative environmental impacts.
