The YMCA of Grays Harbor is seeking a Health and Wellness Director to join their team to promote healthy living in and around the community
Job Description
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Health and Wellness Director at the YMCA of Grays Harbor oversees the development and operations of the Health and Wellness department and programs, such as healthy living, and/or other programs and designs practices, processes, and procedures for a strong program and project management.

Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in physical education, recreation, or equivalent experience
· YMCA Team Leader certification preferred
· One to two years related experience preferred
· Minimum age of 21
· Within 30 days of hire, completion of Child Abuse Prevention trainings, CPR/First Aid/AED, and Bloodborne Pathogens training
· Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
Essential Functions
Directs and manages the development, operations, and growth of the Health and Wellness Department which includes, but not limited to, the overall member experience on their health and wellness journey to include group exercise, personal training and small group training, chronic disease prevention initiatives, and adult sports.
Responsibilities:
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Knowledge of human anatomy, kinesiology
- Experience in health and wellness program development and management, as well as and group
exercise programming
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Budget management and financial analysis skills
- Provides leadership and support for the annual fundraising campaign and other volunteer committees
- Represents the YMCA in the community through outreach and participation in health and wellness events
- Ensures adherence to all association standards, safety procedures, and HR policies
- Maintains accurate records and documentation for training, program evaluation, and budgeting
- Models relationship-building skills in all interactions and maintains regular, clear, and concise
