Description:

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join the Division of Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) as a Band 2 Health Care Support Worker in the Emergency Department, at Sherwood Forest Hospitals. The Emergency Department is a very busy environment offering a 24-hour service, 365 days of the year Emergency Care service to our local population.
The main roles and responsibilities will be to assist in providing care and comfort to our patients, in support of and supervised by the Registered Nursing team. You will be expected to carry out any assigned duties through effective leadership by the nursing team and you will act as a role model for the Trusts CARE values and behaviours.
We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, hard working, positive, friendly, approachable and ultimately committed to providing high standards of holistic quality care.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills and will have or be willing to work towards an NVQ 2 in care. Previous experience in an acute care setting would be an advantage.
